No Demand For Seats
The Buller Rugby Union is concerned because there are few bookings for outside seats for the match between the Lions and Buller-West Coast at Westport on Wednesday. Seating has been provided for about 1400 people, but on Saturday night there were only 220 bookings. When other international teams have played at Westport, enclosure and stand accommodation has been booked quickly. The Secretary of the Buller union (Mr C. G. Low) is worried that other matches with British or South African teams may not be allotted to Buller if this week’s game is poorly attended.
