Blind Given Posies
Mrs J. J. Cuddon, retiring president of the ShirleySt. Albans garden club, presided at the annual meeting. During the year scented posies had been made by: members for the Blind’ Institute, she said. Flowers j had been arranged in the! vestibule of St. George’s Hospital and in the foyer of the museum. Flowers had also been given to the Red Cross Society for the meals on wheels service. Officers elected were:— patron, Mrs J. K. Maloney; president, Mrs R. G. Crompton; past-president, Mrs Cuddon; vice presidents, Mesdames T. W. Milliken, A, Littler; secretary, Mrs C. G. McKinney; treasurer, Mrs C. D. Bailey; reporter, Mrs S. M. Tucker; stewards, Mesdames O. Abbott, H. M. Thomson, S. Emmitt, M. A. Johnson; committee, Mesdames A T. Dangerfield, J. K. Haberfield, J. Thomson, A Brooke-Taylor; library, Mrs L. Lilly; sales table, Miss A. Ladd. Awards won by members for points received during the year:— Al decorative, Mrs H. M. Thomson; A decorative. Mrs T. Milliken; Bl decorative, Mrs J. M. Thomson; B decorative, Mrs S. Emmitt; Coronation Cup, Mrs T. McMillan; Constance .Graham Cup, Mrs A Littler; best large bloom, Miss A Ladd; best small bloom, Mrs H. M. Thomson; three cut flowers, Mrs S. Emmitt; fruit and vegetables, Mrs A Littler.
