In the final, he beat M. Cox (England), 6-4, 10-8. Cox had defeated the New Zealand No. 1 player, L. A. Gerrard, in the semi-finals on Friday and had beaten Falriie in straight sets in the East of England championships the previous week. Two New Zealanders, O. Parun and K. Wodcott. were beaten, 6-3, 6-4, by G. Stilwell and K. Woolridge (Britain) in the men’s doubles final.
