Minor Fires

Units from the Sockbum and Central stations extinguished a fire in pine needles on the property of Clarence Tweedie, at 36 Russley road, at 11.55 a.m. on Saturday. Two units from the New Brighton station were called to a scrub fire on the foreshore of Marine parade, near Shackleton street, at 1.57 p.m.

At 9.37 p.m. a unit from the New Brighton station attended an oven fire at the home of Russell Crawford Smith, at 61 Effiingham street.
