Govt. ‘Should Help Waiuku’

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 17. The Government should accept responsibility for planning to meet the effects on Waiuku and its district of the Government-sponsored iron and steel industry, Mr G, Rosenberg, a senior town planning lecturer at the university of Auckland, said on Saturday at a one-day university extension school on future development in Waiuku. “It does not seem fair that the accident of location of the steel industry should impose such a burden of decisionmaking on an innocent little country market town,” he said.
