At his last start, Bright Chief finished second to Craddock in the Churchill Handicap, 11 furlongs, at Avondale last Saturday. His win was three starts previously in the Poland Cup, 11 furlongs, at Paeroa. Mr Char Me Is one of the most consistent hack gallopers in the north and even with 9-4 wiM be hard to beat in the Arawa Handicap. He won easily over 11 furlongs at Avondale on Saturday. HiHght will make his debut over the bigger fences today. He will be ridden by P. K. Cathro. who will have his first ride for more than nine months. A victory would be well received.
