Carries Ten Cars
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 15. A 10-car transporter which weighs 40 tons and cost £lO,OOO will make a test run from Auckland to Thames tomorrow and its first trip to Wellington on Monday. It has taken six weeks to build in Auckland. The transporter is of unusual design—the low-slung cab has space for one car on its top. It can carry 22 tons, travel at 40 miles an hour, is 60ft long and nearly 15ft high. A second transporter is being built.
