HOTELHOUR EXTENSION
Conclusion Tentative’ (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 14. The Presbyterian Church has made no decision about extended drinking hours. Commenting on reports that the church supported more liberal licensing hours, the clerk of the Presbyterian Assembly (the Rev. S. C. Read) said the remittee on liquor problems and alcoholism had reached only a tentative conclusion that such an extension might be desirable. The opinion of the committee is now being discussed bv presbyteries and no firm decision can be expected until the General Assembly meets in December. t
