Labourer Bankrupt
Although he wanted to pay £3 a week into a pool to pay his creditors, he was told by those financing him that it would be better to file in bankruptcy, Linford Dixon Kerr, a labourer of 72 Wal>iti terrace, said in a statement, presented by the Official Assignee, Mr T. A. F. Withers, at a creditors’ meeting. Kerr said that non-payment of money owing to him had caused his bankruptcy. His statement of affairs showed total debts of £ll7 16s lid, all owing to unsecured creditors, and book debts of money owing to him of £l5O. This left an apparent surplus of £42 3s Id. The meeting was adjourned sine die because of the absence of any creditors.
