"The Pres»” Special Service AUCKLAND. The speedy pacer Jonboy Star has been sold to the United States. Together with Billy Budd and Globe’s Jewel, he was bought by the Mangere trainer, W. Baker, on behalf of Mr F. A. Purner, of Los Angeles. The prices were not disclosed. Although almost 10, Jonboy Star could do well in America. He still has plenty of pace and mile racing will suit him. By U. Scott from Solar, he was owned by C. J. Paine and D. Wingrove and trained by Wingrove at Alexandra Park.
