Preparation For Cup fN.Z. Pren Association) SYDNEY. The Brisbane Cup winner, Apa, will leave Sydney for New Zealand next Tuesday to begin a novel Melbourne Cup preparation. Apa, winner of this year’s Auckland Cup and already on sixth-line favouritism for the cup, will be prepared for the race on the Otaki beach after a short spell on his owner’s (Mr W. H. Lees) property. The horse will sail to New Zealand, but will return to Australia by air.
