Stream Clearance Scheme Approved
Plans for stream-clearance work in the Little River area were approved at a meeting of 15 of the ratepayers concerned and the Wairewa County Council and the North Canterbury Catchment Board. The scheme is estimated to cost about £l7OO, and the meeting decided to proceed with the work on a 10-year loan, subject to approval of the Local Authorities’ Loans Board. The catchment board’s rating classification of the area benefiting was approved.
