Betting At Trentham
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. A crowd of 6200 put £129,316 through the totalisator on the course at Trentham yesterday. Last year 6130 invested £135,880. Off-course bets yesterday amounted to £256,060 15s, made up of £118,465 on the win and place and £137,595 15s on the double. The off-course substitute was Princess Taiaria. The racing was held in fine weather on a holding track.
