WILL SHORTLY HAVE A VACANCY tor a Head Storeman at their main store, Stores Headquarters, Christchurch Airport The appointee will be responsible for the organisation and administration of the physical storage of aircraft spares and materials required for the maintenance of the Corporation’s fleet This position will be of interest to a person with previous stores experience and who is willing to undertake the responsibility for the efficient organisation, administration and operation of a major unit of the organisation. Owing to the special techniques which must be applied in the storage of aircraft spares only the highest standards can be accepted. The expected future growth of the Corporation and the increasing complexity of the aircraft being operated necessitates an expansion of the existing facilities and plans are already in hand to extend the stores to meet these requirements. Applicants should have had previous stores experience together with experience of staff supervision and training. Some knowledge of aircraft components and their storage would be an advantage. Commencing salary will be within the range of £l2OO and £l4OO per annum according to the experience and qualifications of the appointee. If the successful applicant is required to transfer to Christchurch consideration would be given to granting some assistance to the transfer costs. The Corporation operates superannuation and sick leave schemes and air travel, both internal and overseas at concession rates, is available.
