AMERICANS’ TRAVEL

Communist Countries (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) WASHINGTON, July 12. The United States yesterday announced a further easing of restrictions on travel by American citizens to China, Cuba, North Vietnam, North Korea, and Albania. Added to the list of persons who might be given permission to visit these countries were personalities whose “activities in cultural, athletic, commercial, education, public affairs, professional or other fields demonstrate that his visit to the restricted area would be of benefit to the United States.” Over the last seven months the Administration has already eased the formerly strict travel ban for doctors, scientists and scholars who desired to make professional visits to these countries.
