(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copyright) BIRMINGHAM. New Zealand held England to a draw in the second women’s cricket test at Edgbaston yesterday, and also set up two records. Its second innings score of 300 for seven declared was the first time New Zealand had reached the 300 mark. Miss Brentnall’s undefeated 84 was the highest score by a New Zealander in a women’s test match. New Zealand added 220 to its overnight score of 80 for one before declaring, and at the close England was 58 for four. Scores:—New Zealand 131 and 300 for seven dec., England 275 for seven dec. and 58 for four. The first test also ended in a draw. The third and final test starts at the Oval on August 6.
