(N Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, July 13. ' Treasury officials in Sydney were alarmed today by the discovery of a counterfeit 50-cent coin. The fake coin is the first detected in Australia since the conversion to decimal currency. It was passed in a Randwick espresso bar on Monday night. The quality of the fake has given rise to fears that a highly organised counterfeiting gang could have flooded thousands more into circulation undetected. .
