FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—An anti-cyclone centred northwest of the North Island is spreading onto New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—Light to moderate variable winds; cloudy areas at first about the coast with patches of drizzle; but fine weather becoming general later with moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy with morning fog. Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Westland.— Fresh but decreasing southerlies about coastal Marlborough. Elsewhere light variable winds; a few cloudy areas but weather mostly fine with moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. CHRISTCHURCH READINGS
