ENGINE DAMAGED
Ran Into Trucks A steam shunting engine was damaged and two waggons derailed in an accident to two shunting trains just south of the Colombo street over-bridge last evening. A shunter ran to escape serious injuries. The St John ambulance was called about 7 p.m., but was not required. The shunter suffered only bruising. The steam engine ran into a rake of trucks being pulled by a diesel shunting engine. The shunting line was cleared late last night after a crane had put the waggons back on the rails.
