Visit By U.S. Professor

Dr. Lucille Lindberg, professor of early childhood education at Queen’s College, Flushing, New York, will visit Christchurch on August 10 and 11. Dr. Lindberg’s visit has been arranged by the Canterbury Play Centres’ Association and the Christchurch Free Kindergarten Association. During her visit, Dr. Lindberg will address members of both associations at two meetings to be held in the Girl Guide Hall in Armagh street. On Wednesday evening she will lecture on the latest trends in pre-school education. On Thursday morning she will conduct a demonstration workshop for Play Centre supervisors, kindergarten directors, and committee members on “Enriching the programme for the intelligent four-year-old.” Dr. Lindberg will arrive in Christchurch from Buller and afterwards will lecture in Timaru. At present she is on a tour of the North Island.
