Flights Cancelled
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 12. Air New Zealand next week will cancel two flights normally operated by DCBs, an
airline official said today. Another seven return flights normally operated by DCBs will be flown by Electras. The reason for the cancellations and substitutions is that one of the two remaining DCBs is to have a 3500hour check next week.
Although the plane has done only about 2000 hours, the check is being done early so that it will not have to be withdrawn from service during the busy season which starts in October. The check will last about a week. The cancelled services are Sydney-Hong Kong and Auck-land-Singapore. Passengers on both flights will be transferred to other airlines.
Flights to be operated by: Electras are four return services from Auckland to Nandi.' two Auckland-Sydney services; and one Christchurch-Sydney; service.
