Pickles Was There, Too
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright? LONDON.
Pickles, the dog which found the Jules Rimet Trophy in a garden after it was stolen earlier this year, was taken by his owner to Wembley yesterday to watch the opening World Cup match between England and Uruguay.
Pickles, which had a rosette in England's colours of black and white attached to his collar, was taken into the most expensive seats by his London owner, Mr David Corbett.
The tournament was officially opened by the Queen and the match was described to a television and radio audience of millions.
There was a marching display of massed bands and 320 schoolboys paraded in the team colours of the 16 competing nations.
