Fendalton took the lead In seetion one of the winter tennis competition when Edgeware previously unbeaten, was defeated .by North Linwood on Sun day. Opawa is the leader in section two.
Results of matches were: North Linwood 4. Edge ware 2; Fendalton 44 games. Shirley 41 games: Avonside II 4 Spreydon 2; Avonside 111 «, Woolston 0; Beckenham 4 Red cliffs 2: St. Albans beal ’ Sum ner, by default; Opawa beat Riccarton Domain, by default.
