HOSPITAL BOARD

Appointment Of Member

Mr F. W. Gilbert, a member of the Riccarton Borough Council, has been appointed to fill the vacancy on the North Canterbury Hospital Board caused by the death of Mr R. J. Roberts. Mr Gilbert will represent Riccarton borough and Paparua county, and the appointment was made on a recommendation from a joint committee of the two councils. A report to Paparua’s meeting stated that Mrs M. C. Mackwell, unsuccessful candidate at the elections in October, had indicated that she was willing to fill the vacancy.
