DONCASTER HOTEL
Licence After Improvements Proposals tar the improvement of the Doncaster Hotel at Washdyke put before the Licensing Control Commission Since it reserved its decision on the review of South Canterbury hotels on August 30 have been found acceptable to the commission. In the decision given at Wellington on July 6 the commission says the proposals provide tar 14 guests in nine rooms, and seif-contained living quarters for the hotelkeeper. Substantial bar room improvements are also provided for. The requirements are to be complied with by May 31,1967, or such further time as the commission may allow. When the alterations and additions have been made to the satisfaction of the commission a hotel premises licence will be issued In place of the provisional licence. The commission comprises Mr S. T. Barnett (chairman), Major-General Sir William Gentry and Mr N. Butcher.
