SOUTHLAND SEATS
Candidates Announced (N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 11. The Labour Party candidates to contest the Invercargill and Wallace seats at the General Election were announced last night The Invercargill candidate is Mr L. N. Valentine, the chairman of the local Labour Representation Committee. The Wallace candidate is Mr A. Begg, a Drummond fanner. The candidate for the Awarua electorate is still undecided. Nominations for the electorate will be recalled as Mr Valentine was the only candidate nominated.
