Robinson Team Fit
(From Our Own Reporter) WELLINGTON. Three members of I the powerful Robinson i team, from Matangi, were more impressive than most of the others in training at Trentham yesterdaj-. Treble ran away from Washdyke-trained Certain over a mile. Topsil sprinted pleasingly alone, and Flying Swift jumped well and fast with Blue Stand over six fences on the steeplechase course. Treble, the outstandang hack hurdler at the Great Northern meeting. wTH run in the Parliamentary Handicap tomorrow and might have to be regarded as a light-weight chance. P. R WHson schooled him over two hurdles yesterday before taking him out to gallop with Certain which was ridden bv G. H. Styles. Certain pulled hard early but •tarted to drop behind on the turn into the home straight and Treble came to the post with a lead of three lengths. He ran the last three furlongs In 41sec. Certain blew hard after the gallop. He is a stuffy eater and the gallop will do him good, but the Parliamentary Handicap might find him one gallop short. Much, however, could depend on how he settles In the early running of the 11furlong £3OOO race. Topsil <K- S. CuKen) is Inclined to be laxy in aolo tasks, but acted treH in the condHlona while running half a mfle In 54 3-ssec. the liaat three furlongs in 39 3-ssec. She Is an interesting newcomer at the meeting in the Members’ Handicap tomorrow. Whakamoa <N. D. Riordan), the first to gaHop. sprinted half a mUe in 56 2-Ssec, the final three furtongs In 42sec. Tit for Tat (K. J. Mauriri) worked keenly while running
three furlongs in 41 3-ssec. This Te Rapa mare might be one of the hardest to beat in the Corunna Hurdles tomorrow. Impressive The two-year-old Chino (A. E. Ford), a form runner in the Juvenile Handicap, ran 1n from the half-mile in 54sec and her final three furlongs in 40sec was impressive. Equally impressive was By Court (N. D. Riordan), which ran well a lentgh in front of the Washdyke-trained Smart Time (A. T. Jones) and Redaire (B S. Dodds) after running half a mile in 55 l-ssec, the last three furlongs in 41sec. By Court had the outside running, but went ahead easily close to the post. Comte de Leige (D. A. Peake) was better than Free Pass (K. Cullen) and Codlac (P. Tooman) over three furlongs run in 44sec. Comte de Liege is well seasoned and a form runner in the Juvenile Handicap tomorrow.
Beyond (J. H. Hely) finished his work with a half-mile in 56 2-ssec. the final three furlongs in 41 2-ssec. High Wind (B. F. Andrews) was running well with a neck lead over Macsfield (N. D. Riordan) after running half a mile In 53 3-ssec, the final three furlongs In 39 2-ssec. High Wind may be an improver in the Juvenile Handicap. He has shown no form In two starts so far. but shapes as If he will handle Trentham conditions at their worst.

Elkayel (K. J. Mauriri) started seven furlongs with Royal Dakar (Tooman) on the two-year-old track, but strode clear weH out and ran the last three furlongs alone tn 44sec. Thia fit Parliamentary Handicap candidate was asked for something more strenuous on Saturday morning. He looks fit.
Equality (K. A. Old), sn expensive favourite in the Stewards* Handicap on Saturday, jumped eight hurdles, improving on his second round. He mixes his form sharply and his trainer, G. Cameron, hopes that a course of schooling will effect Improvement. The Riverton stablemates, Macdonald (G. A. Walters) and Turtle (W. J. HiHls), were impressive in the second of their runs over two hurqiles. Both screwed in taking She first run at moderate speed but ran at a great rate the second time and finished almost on terms with spectacular leaps. Flying Swift (P. R. Wilson) and Blue Stand (J. H. Hely) started a run over six fences at the brush near the mile and finisbed at the boards near the three furlongs. They stayed together, jumped cleanly, and showed fair speed. Flying Swift Is In the Matai Steepichaee. a race he won tart year. Otherwise, an impressive winner against the hack sprinters on Saturday, may not race again at the Wellington meeting. He has been entered for hack and open races at the Grand National meeting, and Iris connexions believe Riccarton would suit him
