New Name For Flora Society
A new name was adopted by the Canterbury Native Flora Society at a recent special general meeting. The society is now the Canterbury Botanical Society (N.Z.) —formerly known as the Canterbury Native Flora Society (N.Z.). Members also decided to enlarge the scope of the society’s objects. An illustrated talk on Boulder Lake, in north-west Nelson, was given at the meeting, the speakers being Messrs B. F. O'Connor, R. J. M. Banks, J. Allen, and Professor W. R. I Philipson.
