Ill-Health Retirement
The Dominion Life Assurance Office regrets to announce the retirement, through ill-health, of its South Island new business supervisor, Mr K. G. Syminton. Mr Syminton joined the staff of Dominion Life at Whangarei in 1937 and transferred to Christchurch in 1938 being appointed branch manager there in 1941. In 1947 he became responsible for the company’s affairs for the entire South Island in the role of South Island new business superintendent, a position which he most capably held until last year when he had extended leave because of illhealth. The company would like publicly to express its gratitude to Mr Syminton, who, in spite of his other duties, introduced personal new business insurance writings in excess of £1 million. Mr Syminton’s many clients of long standing will be interested to know that he is retaining a special relationship with the company and, to the extent that his health permits, he will still be able to service their policies or introduce new business.
Management of the South Island has now been taken over by Mr J. V. Hosie, of head office, who, on account of Mr Syminton's retirement, has assumed the position of agency manager for New Zealand, based at Wellington. —P.B.A.
