Hawarden won the Templeton Cup Inter-club golf final after an exciting match with Kalapol at Rangiora. Harwarden won on a count-back by 15 holes to 14, after the match score had been drawn, 4-all. Detailed scores are: G Earl beat J. Yellowlees. 3 and 2; D. Warwick beat S. Yellowlees, S and 4; B. Rutherford lost to A. Greenwood. I down: W. Warwick beat N. Ashbey, 2 and 1; R. McVle beat J. Blakeley, 4 and 3: A. Williamson lost to P. Rainey, 5 and 4: M. Vernon lost to A. Hopkins. 4 and 2; G. Yorston lost to G. Ashby, 4 and 3.
