Report On Pay
The report of the committee of inquiry into conditions of service for air traffic controller* proposes Increases of £9OO for the Controller of Air Traffic Services, more than £5OO a year for top operational controllers, and smaller increases for others.
The committee recommens that the increases be retrospective to Januuary 1, 1965.
The report was submitted to the Government more than a month ago, and the Government promised urgent action on it
The chairman of the committee was Mr J. P. W. Watte, a Wellington lawyer, and the other members were Mr D. P. Lynskey, general manager of Straits Air Freight Express, Ltd., and Captain J. H. Register, formerly training supervisor for the National Airways Corporation.
