Travel Bursary For Plumber

The manager of the Christchurch branch of the Bank of New South Wales (Mr J. R. Lamb) has announced that the 1966 New Zealand master plumbers’ travel bursary —sponsored annually by the bank—has been awarded to Mr K. Bint, of Taranaki. The bursary, which draws applications from districts throughout New Zealand, is awarded to enable a plumbing journeyman, who has recently qualified for the trades registration certificate to travel to Australia to increase his technical knowledge and experience in specialised trade fields.

Mr Bint will leave by air for Australia early next year. He will spend about a year working in the Australian eastern states under the direction of the Federated Master Plumbers of Australia.
