Fair Summer, regained his top form with a record-breaking run in the one mile George'* River Handicap at Warwick Farm on Saturday. A heavily-backed 7 Z 2 tecond favourite. Fair Summer got up tn the last stride to take a short half-head verdict over Immortal Son (8/1), with Autumn Boy <l6/1) half a head away third.
Fair Summer’s time of imln 36.55ec clipped a fifth of a second off the previous Warwick Farm mile record held by ConStella and Jane Hero.
Fair Summer (SummertimeFair Titan) was last year’s glamour three-year-old until he failed in the A.J.C. Derby. He failed to Im press during the autumn, but returned to tho winning Mat In a RosehlH Flying Handicap, six furlongs, on
Ho failed In two starts since and hta connexions planned to give him a span. But they changed their minds at tha last minute and decided to give him another chance over a Slightly longer distance.
