Changes For
Cup Final
Canterbury has made two changes (one positional) in its under-18 soccer team to meet Otago in the South Island final of the Junior National Cup at English Park next Saturday. The 16-yearold Rangers plaver. G. Adam, has been moved from wing-half to in-side-right. replacing D. Tultvtt. and W Smith (Western) has come into the side at left-half. The Christchurch B.H.S. halfback. C. Pickrell, again was not : available, permission not being gained from, his school for him to play. The team, announced yesterday by the sole selector (Mr R. Storer), is:— D. Phillips (Shirley 8.H.5.); G. Davis (Brighton), T. Wilson (Shamrock); P. Hyland (Technical). D. Almond. W. Smith (Western): J. Mathias (Shirley I B.H.S ). G. Adam, A. Smythe i (Rangers). S. McAlpine (H.S.iOB). J. McLennan ' (Technical).
Reserves: A. Nottingham. M Blight (Rangers). M. Smith (Technical). D Tullett (Sham rock).
The Otago team will be: A. Batrd; R. Burgess. A. Evans: G. Parker. R. Ramsay. G. Boomer: D Stenhouse. S. White. M. Ferguson, B Neilson, L. Reyntjes. Reserves: D. Nicol, G. Campbell, D. Eaton. White, Ferguson, Neilson. Evans and Batrd all played in th* Otago team last year that was defeated th th* national final by Wellington.
