BOY SCOUT CHURCH PARADES

About 700 boy scouts, cubs, venturer scouts and scout leaders from throughout Christchurch attended annual church parades yesterday.

About 300 scouts, cubs and their leaders attended a combined Methodist and Presbyterian church parade at Knox Church, Bealey avenue. The service was conducted by the Rev. F. Glenn, and the attendance was bigger than last year when separate services were held for each denomination.

About 400 persons attended the Anglican church parade at the Cathedral where the service was conducted by the Rev. J. Vincent.

The photograph shows scouts entering the Cathedral for the service yesterday afternoon.
