Rail-Car Kills Cattle
(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 27. The Auckland to Okaihau rail-car struck and killed nine (yearling cattle which had [strayed on to the track between Topuni and Kaiwaka early last night. [ One of the animals became jammed under the rail-car. The 45 passengers in the rail-car were delayed 48 minutes. The Okaihau to Auckland rail-car with 114 passengers was held for 51 minutes at Kaiwaka. No-one Was injured.
