VOLUNTEERS FOR ABROAD
Many Posts Vacant Volunteer Service Abroad has many posts vacant at present, says the .Tune newsletter of the service. Among the volunteers needed are farmers, agricultural graduates and diploma holders, horticulturists, surveyors, engineers and mechanics, particularly people with irrigation, soil conservation and dam construction experience, for work in north-east Thailand. A marketing officer for Tonga and an assistant marketing officer for Western Samoa are also required. Experience in accounting, management, marketing, food processing or similar occupations would be suitable, the newsletter says. Among other volunteers needed are an accountant for accountancy training in Tonga, a forester for Tonga, farmers, surveyors and mechanics for other jobs in the Pacific, a married couple, [both primary teachers, for the Gilbert and Ellice Islands, and graduates, with or without teacher-training and teaching experience, for Sabah, Brunei, Sarawak and the Pacific Islands.
