Briggs Wins U.K. Final

(N.Z.P.A. -Reuter—Copy right) LONDON. The three-times world speedway champion, B. Briggs, of New Zealand, won the British final of this year’s world championship at Wimbledon Speedway yesterday. Even an engine failure was no bar to Briggs’s run of success.

Before he lined up for his last race he had made certain of leading the scorers, retaining the British title, and winning the bonus cheque of £lOO.
