Forecast: Canterbury and the Kaikoura coast—North to north-west winds, mainly moderate to fresh, but occasionally strong in exposed places, especially on the Kaikoura coast; partly cloudy, with showers about the western ranges and further snow; brief isolated showers elsewhere at times; cold temperatures.
