No Rembrandt Show
The Royal Academy’s proprosed Rembrandt exhibition has been cancelled because of the poor response to its request for the loan of works by . “possibly the greatest artist of all time.” „ Of the 562 Rembrandt's in existence, only 32 had been offered to the Academy, 21 of these by owners outside Britain. This selection was considered too narrow a spectrum of the painter’s art.
