THURSDAY RACING
; Greymouth Remit (From Our Own Reporter) 5 GREYMOUTH, June 27. I The Greymouth Trotting i Club will table a remit at the [ annual meeting of the Trot- • ting Conference next month ; concerning racing on Thursdays on 12 days of the year. , It will ask the conference to ' raise the matter at a com- [ bined meeting of the Racing , and Trotting Conferences for ; discussion with the Totalis- ’ ator Agency Board. 1 The Greymouth club con- . tends that, with the concentration of racing and trotting at holiday periods, there are many unavoidable clashes which could be relieved if Thursday racing were perF mltted. The club says racing should > be permitted on the Thursday - before the holidays at Easter, - Queen’s Birthday, Labour I Day, between Christmas and • New Year and those in January.
