The appointee will be responsible through the Director of Orthopaedic Services for the supervision and co-ordina-tion of work executed for the Board’s patients in the Splint and Surgical fotwear sections of the Department. He will be responsible for the supervision of training programmes for apprentice®. Applicants must be thoroughly experienced in the manufacture and fitting of Orthopaedic appliances of every type, and well versed in the trades of metal, fabric, plastics and all associated materials used by Orthopaedic Technicians. The salary for the position will be determined under the Hospital Employment (Orthopaedic Technicians) Regulations in accordance with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.

The duties of the appointee will be to supervise and co-ord-inate the work executed for patients in the Splint and Surgical Footwear sections of the Department, as required.
