‘Carnage’ Condemned

“Carnage," the latest students “game,” is condemned in a leading article in the latest issue of “Canta,” journal of the Canterbury University Students’ Association. “Already this new adolescent pastime has attracted the attention of the dally newspapers, the public, and the police. The general opinion seems to be one of disgust at this new effort to keep violence alive, and worse still, to make a game out of it. “One thing is clear,” says "Canta," “ ‘Carnage’ will bring more public criticism of the university than drinking the pub dry. It seems obvious that here is a case for the application of the dis- ■ ciplinary clauses of the uni(versity regulations."
