W.D.F.F. Clubrooms To Be Dedicated

The Women’s Division of Federated Fanners will hold Its 41st annual conference in Wellington from July 5 to 8. On July 3 the Agnes Bennett memorial clubrooms will be dedicated. Tribute will be paid to the late Dr. Bennett, whose bequest made acquisition of the premises possible.

The conference will be officially opened by the wife of the Governor General (Lady Fergusson). Other guests will include the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) and Mrs Holyoake; the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Kirk) and Mrs Kirk; and the Mayor of Wellington (Sir Francis Kitts) and Lady Kitts.

The Dominion president (Mrs M. E. Irwin) will address the conference and announce the successful candidate for the W.D.F.F. bursary. Reports from Mrs Irwin and from the Dominion secretary and treasurer will be given, together with reports of activities at rest and holiday homes. Winners of a wool competition will receive their prizes and members will also see a

mannequin parade arranged by the Wool Board.
