To Live In Chch.
T. M. Stout, the New Zealand amateur golfer who represented both Southland and Wellington in Freyberg Rose Bowl play, will live in Christchurch from September after several years in Fiji. Stout, who is being transferred by the Bank of New Zealand from Suva to Christchurch, won the Fiji open title in 1964 and the Suva open in 1964 and 1965.
He has a handicap of one.
Stout came from Inver, cargill where he made his mark in golf at an early age. Later he played in Christchurch for two seasons as a member of the Russley club. Perhaps his finest performance in Freyberg Rose Bowl golf was his defeat of S. G. Jones at Shirley in 1953.
