TREATMENTS FOR WOOL
Pilot Plant In France z? v z Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 27. The International Wool Secretariat has opened a new pilot plant in France to extend the use of new easycare treatments for wool, the general manager of the Wool Board, Mr J. D. Fraser, said today. Located at Roubaix, it is the tenth established by the secretariat throughout the world, he said. “The new pilot plant comes at a good time for the French industry, where recovery has brought production back to the high 1963 level,” said Mr Fraser. "Figures for the first four months of this year against the same period last year show a 26 per cent increase in combing, 37 per cent in worsted spinning and 12 per cent in weaving.”
