Surpise Win For United The lowly-placed United team provided the surprise of the Hurunui Rugby season by beating the joint competition leader, Cheviot, in the senior grade matches on Saturday. As a result Kaikoura has taken an unshared lead again, having won its match against Waiau, but Kaikoura will take the bye this Saturday while Cheviot has already had the bye. Results of senior matches:— United 8, Cheviot 5; Kaikoura 8, Waiau, 3; Culverden a bye. Championship points, with two for a win, are: Kaikoura 12, Cheviot 10, Waiau 7, United 5, Culverden 2,
