(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON. A British athletics relay team broke the world record for 4 x 880 yards at Crystal Palace, London. Its over-all time was 7min 14.6 sec. The split times of the British runners were: Grant Imln 49.75ec, Varah, Imin 48.7 sec, Carter, Imin 48sec, and Boulter, Imin 48.2 sec.
