Swimmers ' Captain

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. D. F. Gerrard had been appointed team captain of the swimming section of the Empire Games team to Jamaica next month, a team meeting was told on Saturday. Gerrard, a member of the New Zealand team to the Perth Games in 1962, also went to the 1964 Olympics* in Tokyo. He has held national titles and records for the last eight years.
