FIRST N.Z. MISSION
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 26. The establishment of tKe first inland mission station in New Zealand, at Waimate North, was commemorated at an anniversary service today. About 60 people attended the service given by the Rev. H. O. Miles at the St. John Baptist Church at Waimate North. The service commemorated the 135th anniversary of the establishment of a mission station on the site. The present church is the third on the site chosen by the Rev. Samuel Marsden in 1830.
